About Us
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion…” – Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Let's Keep in Touch...
James grew up in poverty in the rugged mountains of the Northwest. Stacy grew up in a middle class family in the privileged suburbs of Houston, Texas.
James became the first of his family to graduate from college, and has been a marketing executive in the oil and gas industry, a magazine publisher, a public speaker, and a pastor.
On the other hand, impatient to start life, Stacy skipped college and dove into the beauty industry as a hairdresser. Later, eager for more normalized work hours, she went into apartment management. After marriage, Stacy worked at home editing an international Christian magazine that she and her husband owned and operated. She was also an author and public speaker; but, most importantly, a homeschooling mom.
Some might see James and Stacy as two radically different people. And, in many ways they would be right!
You see, James and Stacy have lived a lot of life. Some of it’s been good, some of it’s been painful, and some of it has been downright AMAZING! But, regardless of how they would categorize each season of life, they both acknowledge that all of it has been for their ultimate good and for God’s glory.
Their differences in background, experience, personality type, and talent have meant that they bring two complementary skill sets to the table — two compatible histories that really do make them “better together.” It’s all part of the providential, creative mixture of color, joy, pain, failure, success, beauty, redemption, and growth called “life.”
As you get to know them, you’ll probably notice that Stacy is the introvert “writer” and James is the extrovert “speaker.” Of course, Stacy is a talkative introvert, so you’ll see her speaking and doing videos now and then too. And James is an introspective extrovert who likes to get his thoughts out on paper (or online) every once in a while, so beware…they can be unpredictable!
James and Stacy each have their strengths and weaknesses, and they can say without a doubt that God placed them together for a purpose…to be “better together” (Genesis 2:18). That’s what this is all about, right? And they happen to think “togethering” is a blast!
In all of life, they strive to complement each other; in marriage especially, but also in other relationships. And that’s what is so exciting! James and Stacy want you to discover how you and your spouse (or you and your family, church, team, or organization) can utilize each of your gifts, talents, quirks, and resources to be “better together” in all of life.
